Dr. Erlach graduated from the University of California’s San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1986. He then completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with the United States Army before serving in Korea and then with the 82nd Airborne Division. Returning to California, he practiced in Santa Cruz County for seven years before joining Fountaingrove Dentistry in Santa Rosa, California in 1998.

Dr. Erlach is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; one of just over 500 dentists worldwide to hold this prestigious distinction. He is a published author in the fields of Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Implants. Dr. Erlach has extensive training in Implant Dentistry and has earned Diplomat status with the International Congress of Oral Implantology and both a Surgical Mastership and Prosthetic Fellowship with the Misch International Implant Institute. He is also a Master’s in the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of both the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Dr. Erlach retired as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserves. During his 27 years of service, he served two tours of duty in Iraq, and one in Kosovo, and treated US Servicemen and local civilians in many countries around the world. He was the Commander of the 307th Medical Company and led the unit on several overseas deployments. Dr. Erlach enjoys hiking, SCUBA diving, travel, and spending time with his wife Josephine and son Daniel.
